Snorkelling vs Scuba Diving in Seychelles

The Seychelles is a really beautiful place and there is lots to see and do! One of the biggest draws for visitors is of course the Ocean!

Not only is it BEAUTIFUL, it’s warm all year round, and it’s home to some amazing creatures!

So what’s the best way to see this underwater world?
Of course it’s lovely to see it from the beach, but if you REALLY want to see it you’re going to want to get in and explore!!
This infographic is all about Snorkelling vs Scuba Diving in Seychelles. Check it out, this should help you make your decision! Or perhaps it will make you want to do both!!

So what do you think? Both are pretty appealing aren’t they!?
I personally prefer Scuba Diving but it’s not for everyone!

  • We can’t wait!!!!! We will be there on Wednesday. And if the hotel Lemuria will offer good baby sitter, we are going diving too, all the equipment is going to be with us.
Is the diving site offered by Lemuria any good please? I have seen some reviews commenting that they just take you to a sand bank. Sorry, I just can’t remember the name of the diving site they take you to.

    • I personally would recommend octopus diver they are who we use and they are 5* padi dive centre (way cheaper than lemuria too) I would maybe contact them before you come to check they will pick you up from the hotel) if they don’t another great company is white tip and I know they do do pick ups from lemuria! X

  • We’ve been talking about getting back into diving today, can’t wait. I haven’t been properly under the water for more than 4 years (we have been snorkelling a few times in that time). Dying to see whale sharks, it’s my goal – will try SA and Mozambique but hoping to make it to the Seychelles as well 🙂

    • Do you know what, you really don’t need to be a great swimmer for scuba diving, fins really help and a lot of the time you just kinda bob along haha! Xx

  • I used to snorkel on holiday when I was a kid and really liked it. I went scuba diving on holiday in Cyprus when I was about 18 though and I really didn’t enjoy myself – I felt very claustrophobic somehow. Maybe I’ll get to have another go one day and see if I’ve changed my mind at all!

  • Hi Chantelle
We are now at Lemuria. I don’t have much access to the laptop, by choice. My husband is mainly using it.
I don’t know the best way of setting a play date as I don’t log much on computer. And I’m reluctant to leave here our room number. Is it possible please to email me with your email address or any other preferred way of communication at sb86682@gmail.com. My husband will pick up any messages from there.
We are here until Saturday 9th May.

Hope to talk to you soon,
    Sorina

    • I’m afraid I’ve not visited Mauritius so i can’t answer! I can only imagine that the sea life is very similar to what we have here though! I’m sure you’ll have excellent diving whichever one you visit 🙂 or perhaps you’ll have to do both!!!
