The brick trolly {The Ordinary Moments} #12
It’s Sunday and so it’s time for the Ordinary Moments! As always linking up with Katie!
This week I’m writing about Arthur’s new favourite toy! The Brick Trolly. My mum and dad brought this out for Arthur and it’s now his absolute favourite!!
Its a really lovely wooden one that came with lots of little wooden blocks that go in the trolly part that are also lots of fun to play with. It definitely has a classic timeless look to it.
What is amazing for me is how quickly he got confident using it! We were holding him initially as he stumbled along but within a day he was going along by himself, slowly, but still going. Within a couple of days he was getting pretty cocky, lifting a hand up ‘waving’ as he was going along, looking around the room making sure everyone was watching. Obviously as a result of that he had a couple of falls but he kept getting back up and once he reached the wall or anything else that was in his way he was demanding to be turned around so he could get going again.
He’s so good on it now that last weekend we decided we were going to let him have a go at taking it outside on the little track out the front of our house. He would be able to go a good distance on his own without needing us to turn him around. Its a little bumpy out there though so we weren’t sure how it would go!
Arthur absolutely loved it, he was not only going up and down the path but over the grass too. It’s so cute seeing him ‘walking’ up and down out the front of the house, it made him look pretty tiny!! I’m pretty sure that using this is whats given him the confidence to start taking steps between bits of furniture!! Don’t think it will be too long before he really is walking!
Happy Sunday
Aw such beautiful pics and so happy to have you back in The Ordinary Moments!! xx

Thanks i’m very glad to be back 🙂 xx
This is amazing! He looks so grown up but tiny at the same time. Little Man walks with his push along walker but gets fed up after a couple of steps and drops to his knees. Arthur really looks like he’s got the hang of it – What a perfect present for your parents to bring! x

Thanks Caroline! x
Ahhh I can’t believe Arthur is walking and he is the same age as Missy Moo. She really needs to catch up. Her brother was just about to walk about this time too. I always thought girls were early learners but she is a relaxed laid back kinda baby so I think we have a long while before she walks. This is so cute that he loves his block walker! Or brick wagon I think you called it. lol I need to get MM one of these. What a beautiful sunny day to play outside too. So much fun going on! #orindarymoments

Agreed, definitely a classic to have 🙂 x
Aw how cute does he look with his little jean shorts on and no top. Not jealous at all honestly. ;( We have a little wooden block cart and LL loves it as well, although I get a bit of OCD and have to put the blocks back straight after she has used it. 😉 x

Haha thanks Katie! Oooo i could see the block arranging getting a little obsessive haha, i’ll do my best to avoid that, I’ll be forever straightening blocks!!! x
Arthur – you are adorable and I just loved my little brick trolley as much as you when I was starting to walk. Only difference was I wasn’t walking in beautiful sunshine with no top on rocking the jean short look (which I love) hehe xxx Ax

Ah such special moments to see your little one on the verge of taking his first unaided steps! My eldest had a V Tech walker and I’ve got a lovely little bit of video footage of him walking across a room with it aged about 11 months. So cute! #ordinarymoments

Oh that looks like fun – I remember having something similar when I was little and we just loved it – I rather wish my parents had kept hold of it!

its definitely something to keep hold of, such a classic toy!
What a cutie! It looks like he will be walking in no time at all.
Thanks 🙂 yeah i think so too, terrifying!!!! x
That’s so cute, he looks so proud of himself! Great idea to let him practice outside on different surfaces too. I thought about getting M a similar trolley but there’s just not enough space in our flat for him to really enjoy it.

hi!!! We don’t have much space inside either, it gets annoying having to turn him round every 5 seconds haha! Outside is much better 🙂 x
