23 months

Arthur is 23 months old.

Oh my gosh.  I am emotional about this.  I am aware that’s ridiculous, but I’m pregnant so give me a break!  I can’t believe that next month we will have a 2 year old!!

This month has seen Arthur being spoiled rotten!!!  We had my parents out to visit for two weeks. Arthur absolutely loved it.
He took about 10 minutes to get over shyness on the first day and from that moment on he couldn’t get enough of them! He absolutely delighted in showing off in front of them, which of course they lapped up too!!

One of the presents for Arthur my parents bought out was a floaty jacket.  Arthur has always been amazing in the water but this jacket has given him an unreal amount of confidence.  He would never wear armbands but now he can get around on his own by wearing this jacket.  He even “swims” around in it!  It’s absolutely amazing!   I’d totally recommend them!
Having always been a water baby myself it was always my hope that Arthur would be too, so I’m so happy to see how much he loves it!!

I’m still taking Arthur into school once a week and he’s continuing to love it.  He interacts more and more with the other kids and he has a lot of confidence there!

He loves climbing and he is so fast. His running is amazing!!

I haven’t spoke a lot about this, but we have started potty training with Arthur.
We know it’s very early but where it’s been so so hot  we started letting Arthur run around the house without a nappy on, he started telling us when he was going for a wee and then before he actually needed to go.  So we thought we’d give it a go!
We are so proud of how well he’s been doing.  We have kept it just inside the house for now (so a nappy on when we go out) and still using a nappy for nap and bed time.
By no means am I boasting, claiming any fabulous parenting or potty training techniques here I just think that Arthur happened to be ready!  Also we have the added benefit of it being hot enough for him to run around without a nappy and therefore notice what he’s doing!!

Arthur is talking more and more.  He’s been saying lots of new words.  I feel like I need to write down all of his words so I have a real idea of where he’s at!!  I’ll work on that this month!

He continues to be a really affectionate boy.  He loves to give cuddles and kisses.

I think that’s it for now, well no it isn’t.  I never feel like I truly capture how awesome our little guy is in these updates.  How much he makes us all so so happy.  How funny he is.  How loving he is.  I hope that by continuing this blog I’ll get better and better at capturing that.

I’m sure it will feel like a blink of an eye for the time to come for me to be writing the next update when Arthur has turned 2!
